method of making
Hi everyone, welcome back to the unsalted kitchen. Today is Saturday and I plan on making honey chicken.
And for to do that, I’m going to need some uh four pieces of chicken thighs, bone bean. I’m going to need um apple uh apple cider vinegar, some soy sauce, garlic, ginger, fresh ginger. Um some garlic powder as well, and some uh black pepper. Also, I’m going to need some honey and some homemade chicken broth.
And um I guess that’s it. That’s all I’m going to need. And some garnishing, of course. Uh we’re also going to have some a little bit of cilantro for garnishing, but it’s optional, so it’s up to you.
All right, so let’s get started. See you on the other side.
Hi folks, welcome back.
Um, in this session, I’m just going to season chicken with black pepper and garlic powder.

Also, I’m going to make sure that the chicken are well coated too. Then set the seasoned chicken aside and let it marinate for 5 minutes before searing them.
after 5 minutes, it is time to cook the chicken. First, heat the skillet over mediumigh heat. Then sear chicken thighs on both sides until golden brown.
Sear the chicken skin first.
going to sear this chicken until it’s golden brown.
Uh both sides for about maybe 10 minutes, give or take at the end.
Then I’m going to reduce the heat to medium low after searing on both sides.
Then I’m going to cover the skillet with a lid and continue cooking until the chicken is cooked through while turning every 5 minutes until done.
So when the chicken is done, I actually cooked this about total of 20 minutes.
So anyway, when chicken is done and cooked
through, arrange the chicken skin side up like just like I did um in the pan.
Then I’m going to add the garlic in between the chicken.
You know, just kind of spread the chicken and the garlic.
Just cook it for like about a minute.
Fry it until it’s fragrant.
This is not sideway.

Heat. Heat.
And then we’re going to add the honey.
After frying the garlic for about 1 minute, we’re going to add the honey now.
Then we’re going to add ginger.
We’re also going to add the chicken broth.
1/4.
We’re going to add vinegar.
And of course the soy sauce.
I want to make sure that the chicken are coated with the sauce.
That’s why I’m turning this over back and forth.
And we’re going to simmer this for extra maybe 10 minutes or until the salt has thickened.
So, I’m going to cover it.
So, after about 10 minutes, and when you think the sauce has thickened, as you can see, get that closer.
Ooh, that looks delicious already.

And the sauce has been uh reduced for cooking about 10 minutes.
We can now put some garnish.
There you go, folks. The honey chicken is finally cooked. I’m going to eat this with rice and steamed broccoli vegetable.
So, you could also serve this with pasta if you wish.
Once again, thank you
