1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
1 tablespoons cornmeal to add a crunch
2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
dash celery seed or 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoon sugar (optional)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
pinch cayenne pepper

Method of making
if there’s anything you guys want to see during our back to the basic series and something that we got a lot of requests for was shake and bake you know like the stuff you shake and you put on chicken or pork chops or whatever it is we don’t use it a ton in our house but I’m going to show you guys how to make it today first thing you guys need make this a fast one because I’m in the middle of making another video for you guys and have something in the oven I don’t want to burn so the recipe will be below if I go too fast you need one and A2 cups of
breadcrumbs you guys these are our homemade breadcrumbs we do have a video on the channel it’s actually what I have in the oven right now one and 1/2 cups going into a bowl I like to add this it’s a little bit kind of an unexpected but it adds a nice crunch when you’re making this there is something flying around the room um I add a tablespoon of cornmeal this is a we grind popcorn to make our own cornmeal um we use mushroom popcorn so that is what that is and it adds like an unexpected like the sweetness of the Corn but the little bit of crunch that

comes from cornmeal it’s bomb you will enjoy it paprika I use regular paprika you can use smoked as well you need two teaspoons this by the way makes the equal amount to one bag if you were to purchase shake and bake like at the grocery store we need 1 and2 teaspoons of salt I have a little residual but it’s okay if you’re salt sensitive you can take it down a notch or use a salt substitute it doesn’t matter as much in this one garlic powder one teaspoon of garlic powder we love garlic powder now the thing you need next is celery salt I hate celery salt I do
not like it I don’t use it ever um I have some celery seed so I’m literally just going to put a Sprinkle of it in it adds that flavor it’s not even a pinch you guys it’s literally like a a minuscule amount um if you have celery salt I would do about a four of a teaspoon I just don’t like celery salt anyways the next thing you need is onion powder it is half of a teaspoon of onion powder this is our homemade stuffs it does Clump a little bit because it doesn’t have any anti-caking stuff but it tastes great parsley parsley’s delici just because it’s pretty not because it tastes like anything half a teaspoon going in I told you guys I was going fast if I’m moving too fast I don’t know what to tell you there

‘s no way to slow it down y’all let me stir my breadcrumbs that I’m making I don’t want to get they’re still good they’re still good we have another video coming out showing you guys how to make it may have come out first I don’t know Italian breakfast breadcrumbs and how to make panko so if you need some panko in your life and you don’t want to pay for it that’s what’s in there right now the next thing you need is sugar we add two teaspoons of sugar you could take it down or up your choice on that one I say make it the way that I do it and then if you want to
adjust things then you go for it after the fact but you know oregano I love oregano you can use basil as well but I tend to stick with oregano it’s a half of a teaspoon black pepper half a teaspoon and last but not least I like to add a little bit of cayenne pepper to it not a lot is literally a pinch of it um about that much tiny little pinch it just adds a little bit of heat but not hot hot heat you know what I mean so we’re going to mix this together with our measuring spoon apparently cuz you know it is what it is is and this H is equal to one batch of the commercial it’s going to
